Engutturalment Cephaloslamectomy - Glam Not Slam
ENGUTTURALMENT CEPHALOSLAMECTOMY – GLAM NOT SLAM LABEL: GORE HOUSE PRODUCTIONS RELEASE DATE: APRIL 24TH 2020
Maybe you’re a killer who really enjoys his work, who feels a sense of joy as the skulls crack under your hammer. You take out the bodies with a smile on your face and spring in your step – but where do you turn to for a soundtrack to your day - one that captures both the unparalleled violence of your lifestyle and your sense of fun? Or perhaps you’re just a regular guy, addicted to the slam, but who still wants to look good and party? A student with rock ‘n’ roll high school dreams but an insatiable need for guttural vocals and the vomit-inducing sickness of brutal death metal? Everything you need is encapsulated in one band...Engutturalment Cephaloslamectomy!
Six years on from their world renowned EP, 8.1.2., the Indiana trio have returned with another breathtakingly beautiful blend of sick slams and heart warming humour, in the form of their debut full length album, Glam Not Slam. From the knowing self awareness of ‘Worthless Intro You Will Skip’ to the playful brutality of the band’s tribute to the masters of melody, Toto, ‘I Bless The Slams Down In Africa’ this is twisted savagery for those who like to look on the brighter, lighter side of life. Just don’t go thinking that Engutturalment Cephaloslamectomy are nothing but a throwaway joke, because musically speaking this band are as serious as death. The drumming that propels songs like ’10,000 Slam Thots (In One)’ is staggering and the array of wicked, convulsing riffs on display is simply magnificent. This band are serious songwriters, serious musicians, and seriously damn heavy – they just like to have a little fun at the same time as levelling cities with the weapons in their monstrous slam death armoury.
On April 24th Gore House Productions will light the fuse and stand well back, detonating this explosive collection of brutal masterpieces. The body count is expected to be unprecedented, but at least they’ll all die smiling. The Knights In Slamming Service are coming to your town and it’s time to have some fun – join the carnival or be crushed beneath the wheels!
