Formicarius sign with Schwarzdorn Production:

March 12, 2017

We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce that today Formicarius have signed a deal with established German label Schwarzdorn Production. Since 1994 Schwarzdorn have been building a formidable roster of international black metal talent which Formicarius are proud to become part of.

The first Formicarius release on Schwarzdorn will be their highly anticipated debut full length album, Black Mass Ritual. The single ‘Lake Of The Dead’, taken from the upcoming album is into its second pressing and fans are hungry to hear more from the most exciting UK black metal band of recent times. The single was also supported by a stunning lyric video, created for the band by Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art, the man responsible for the acclaimed videos that thrash legends Flotsam And Jetsam released along with their latest, self titled album. Such has been the impact of ‘Lake Of The Dead’ that Sony Music/Music For Nations selected it to be included on their compilation album Speed Kills VII – a relaunch of the famous Speed Kills series that helped introduce the world to the likes of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.

Over the last year Formicarius have unveiled tracks from Black Mass Ritual in the live arena as they have played explosive shows with the likes of Negura Bunget, Hate, Noctem, Old Corpse Road and A Forest Of Stars. Tracks like ‘Requiem For The Bloodborn’ and ‘May The Rats Eat Your Eyes’ prompting rave reviews from major magazines like Zero Tolerance and Powerplay.

Now the wait for Black Mass Ritual is almost over - and with the power of Schwarzdorn Production behind them, Formicarius are set to unleash hell on the metal world!
