The Colony join Imperative Management

January 18, 2019

Today we are proud to welcome to the Imperative PR ranks The Colony, a band who possess all the attributes required to take the metal world by storm. Their masterful blending of technical brilliance, emotional depth, bruising heaviness and sublime melody makes for some of the most engaging, infectious metal you’ll hear anywhere. When you combine this with their high energy live performances that break down all the barriers between band and crowd, you’ll understand why we’re so pleased to be joining forces with The Colony.

The band first formed in Scotland in 2006 and worked hard to hone their skills and perfect their performances before releasing their first EP, Romper Stomper in 2011. Four years of tireless gigging and recording followed, with debut full length album Dust And Stone being released in 2013. Then in 2015 things really began to take off for the band. On the back of their superb second album, Time Of Wolves, The Colony embarked on a six date tour of Ireland and then a hugely successful tour of the Balkan states with Other Eyes Wide. The tour, named the Chapters Of The Eastern Front Tour, went so well that a ‘part two’ was scheduled for 2016 and this included a huge show at the Metalhead Meeting in Bucharest, with Kreator, Rotting Christ and Dragonforce.

Refusing to rest on their laurels The Colony pushed ahead with work on their third album and in the winter of 2017 C was released. C proved to be a milestone for the band, featuring their most expansive and exciting set of songs to date. A plethora of live shows followed in 2018, including UK dates with Godstone as well as a performance at the Music Expo with Fury, Black Emerald and Twisted Illusion and a return to Romania for a second appearance at Metalhead Meeting, alongside Children Of Bodom, Soulfly and Kataklysm.

With planning for their fourth album underway The Colony reached out to Imperative PR to help them take the step up to the next level in 2019, which brings us to today’s announcement – expect to hear a lot, lot more from The Colony in the year ahead.
