DIVULSIVE - SPAWNED IN VISCERA

In a place of cold steel and darkness the process of mechanistic dissection is initiated. The whirring of machinery, the precise performance of punctures, the snap of bone cleanly broken and flesh efficiently parted like silk before tailor's shears - a symphony of clinical exactitude with an accompanying chorus of screams and incoherent pleading; all meaningless and inconsequential to the broken soul of this orchestra's conductor. The impossible dream - to instigate existence through destruction, bring life from ruin, birth from brutality; to assume godhood through the creation of a new humanity, spawned in viscera!

Spawned In Viscera is the debut album from Divulsive, a band that appeared on the US brutal death metal scene with their first demo in 2024. Brutal death metal is a burgeoning genre, with bands emerging daily, each one striving to reach new heights of intensity, new depths of depravity - but Divulsive are not about to be lost in the midst of that steaming morass of entrails and blast beats. In a genre where the obscene and extreme are commonplace, Divulsive's Spawned In Viscera still manages to send electric shocks through the brains of those who thought themselves inured to the most challenging of sounds. With an obliterating high-tension snare sound and vocals that redefine bestial and inhuman, striding across a fetid sea of repugnant, diseased riffs, Spawned In Viscera takes brutal death metal's most outlying elements and pushes them clean over the edge of human understanding. Be it the sprawling mass of unfiltered hate that is 'Vomiting Homeless Excrement', the deep grooves carving their way through the suppurating filth of 'Spawned In Viscera' itself, or the rumbling riffs like subterranean creatures of 'Obsessive Anal Defilement'…this album is operating on a different sonic spectrum, serving up a whole new world of mind rending horror. By the time you reach the sickening implosion of 'Mechanized Carnivorous Impurity' you will be begging for mercy. Divulsive are making brutal death metal the province of the disturbed and disturbing once again.

The sound of Spawned In Viscera - beyond all reason or accepted limitations - has been achieved by the mixing and mastering madness of the band's own Thomas Meeker, who has also helped to sculpt the audial assaults of Enthrallment, Impalement and many other monstrous entities. With artwork as uncompromising and vicious as its music, created by Ethan Valk, Spawned In Viscera will be vomited onto the cowering heads of the underground by Comatose Music, on July 24th. Prepare for a trip to the furthest reaches of brutality and endurance.
