The Medea Project - Live At Dingwalls

THE MEDEA PROJECT – LIVE AT DINGWALLS LABEL: INDEPENDENT RELEASE RELEASE DATE: JANUARY 9th 2026As the ferry reaches the furthest shore, the stony bank emerging from the mist, Kharon points towards the land, silently urging you to disembark. The darkness within his cowl brooks no argument and invites no discussion or fond farewells. No sooner have you stepped ashore than he thrusts his pole against the riverbed and vanishes back into the fog that rides upon the silent current. Alone in the land of the dead you take your first faltering steps into the unknown and from the vast cavern ahead you hear a sound…music…music of other spheres and other spaces…music made of dreams and darkness…music of the night…
“Listen to them, the children of the night. What music they make!” Dracula
– Bram StokerOn June 20th 2025 The Medea Project took to the stage of Dingwalls 2 in London to celebrate the release of their new album – Kharon. They have always provided a powerful, engaging and entertaining live spectacle, but on that night they seemed to blossom into the dark flower they have always aspired to be; a thing of raw, rare and deadly beauty. They wove a spell that captured the attention of the gathered audience completely and transported them from a stiflingly hot summer night in Camden Town to the cold shadows that cloak the banks of the Styx. Tracks taken from Kharon’s haunted grooves like ‘Dance Of The Void’ and ‘Upon Your Bones (Stygian Surf)’ came to vivid, venomous life while older set stalwarts like ‘Babylon’, ‘F.E.A.R.’ and ‘The Desert Song’ seemed to grow in stature and exude a deeper darkness than ever before. The vocals, bestial roars and desperate howls entwined, echoed around the rafters while vast, staggering riffs rode upon the elemental rhythms, the glorious cacophony giving birth to a unique, enthralling atmosphere. The chaos magic of that night was captured, the black flame preserved forever and is presented in all its bloody honesty, just as it unfolded, on Live At Dingwalls; a worthy companion piece to the majesty of Kharon.
Live At Dingwalls will be released on January 9th and made available exclusively from The Medea Project’s Bandcamp Page. A memory revisited for those in attendance, a conjured vision of blood and flame for others…and another chapter in the unfolding tale of The Medea Project.
