Two years ago, US metal band Tyraels Ascension unleashed their incredible debut album, Hell Walker. It was the beginning of a trilogy, with real life struggles translated into the tale of an angel, Tyrael, who descends to a broken earth to help its desperate people in a fight against the demons who threaten their very existence. Lyrically and conceptually immersive and musically dazzling the album was warmly received throughout the international metal underground with Metal Temple calling it “one hell of a journey”, while Games, Braaains & A Headbanging Life were thrilled by its “crushing fast moments, epic head-banging moments, and massive melodic moments”. The Hell Walker story was even made into a video game, featuring the music of Tyraels Ascension, which was made available on Nintendo's hugely popular Switch platform. Now the time has finally come to return to the world of Tyrael, to follow the warrior angel back into the darkness, as the second part of his trilogy has arrived! Tyraels Ascension and Rottweiler Records are ready to unveil…Grave Seeker!

With its very first song, 'No End In Sight', Grave Seeker enfolds us in the special atmosphere that is a trademark of Tyraels Ascension. The dancing guitar riff, the waves of power, the fiercely aggressive vocals, the huge melodies and the stunning lead work…the excitement of the return to this unfolding story is there in every note, the essence of narrative like a glowing thread that runs through the music from the first note to the last. Any concerns as to whether Tyraels Ascension would be able to match the dizzying heights of their debut album are quickly wiped away - the band's skills of composition and performance have only grown stronger. There is not a weak song to be found, whichever chapter of Grave Seeker you choose to explore. The emotive first single, 'Bittersweet', possesses real depth, rich in melancholy as Sean Searls and Kevin McNeil deliver an absolute masterclass in guitar playing, from their remarkable riffs to their beautiful, electrifying solos. 'Impossible Decisions' is instantly captivating and its hooks and melodies work their way deeper and deeper into your heart as the song progresses. 'The Summoning' is absolutely incendiary - so harsh, so heavy and yet so richly melodic - each note weighty with meaning, each word pronounced with passion, torn from the soul of vocalist Alex Theesen. Grave Seeker's concluding track is the grand instrumental, 'Tyraels Curse', where a haunting, shadowed introduction gives way to dark, venomous riffing and guitar lines like a stately, macabre dance…and these are just a scattering of the treasures to be found throughout this album, the sights to be seen as we accompany Tyrael on his journey.
