VULNIFICUS - INCLINATION LABEL: COMATOSE MUSIC RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 10th 2025

All things have failed. The very essence of existence is mutating, collapsing about us. No structure remains and as society falls into ruin our bodies collapse in symbiotic unity. Flesh slips from bone, blood and bile pool and coagulate, what was inside becomes outside. Maggots erupt from the vast sea of slowly liquidating humanity, consuming and thriving on the ruined remains of our dominance…a sordid ending in putridity for all dreams and ambitions, both noble and depraved alike.
After four years and three EPs, it is finally time for the full length debut album from Vulnificus to be unleashed, for the true extent of their power and pestilential sickness to be revealed. Continuing the band’s pathological obsession with the letter ‘I’, this mass of savagery and madness has been branded with the title of Inclination and it’s a trip to the outer limits of brutal death metal’s most disturbed and distorted regions. From the beginning of first track, ‘Bacterial Backlash’, there is a sense that something is very wrong with this album; the atmosphere is unsettling and the prominent bass reaches through the riffs and drills into your consciousness. The tension seems to continually build, like a vice tightening around your head – and there’s no release, even when the song collapses into an eerie finish. Three tracks will be familiar to fans who have tasted the bitter ichor of the Inextricable EP – the maniacal blasting monster that is ‘The Internecine Incarnation’ in both its forms, with and without vocals and the warped waltz that is ‘Intrinsic Inclination’. All three more than merit their inclusion on Inclination, adding immeasurably to its dark, dangerous lunacy. Elsewhere the thick, tumbling riffs of ‘Inexplicably Beguiled’ cascade like rot and effluence over jagged drum patterns and the utterly eviscerating voice of Eston Browne, while ‘Excursus Vulnificus’ revels in aggressive sickness, fevered guitar solos wailing as the song grinds to a finale of nausea and despair. There is no haven to be found within the asylum walls of Inclination, only trauma, confusion and oppressive, claustrophobic terror.
Mixed and mastered by Scot Moriarty at Backroom Studios (Sunrot, Mass Extinction, Slabdragger) for maximum nerve shredding effect and wrapped in the grotesque shroud of Ricky ‘Pileworm’ Pile’s (Impalement, Stabbing etc) artwork, Inclination will be unchained by Comatose Music on October 10th. Remorseless and relentless, the plague that is Vulnificus will consume you.
