Ephemera - Live Booking
Incredibly, when Bradford, West Yorkshire melodic hardcore band Ephemera first started, they had no real ambitions of playing live. Formed by a group of friends during the social lockdowns at the beginning of the 2020s, Ephemera was simply an outlet for frustrated creativity and the emotional pressures of those difficult days. However, when society opened up once again it quickly became apparent that Ephemera were a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the stage. It wasn’t long before they found themselves playing to full venues of maniacal fans, utterly invested in the songs they had created. Ephemera’s honesty of expression and the absolute passion expressed in their performances had forged a bond with all who came to see them in those early shows around Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds.
As word of the staggering intensity of Ephemera’s live shows began to spread by word of mouth, so the power of their recorded output started to make waves throughout the wider music scene. Since 2021 the band have released three EPs and three singles – with each one of those singles being picked up for airplay by Radio 1 DJ Alyx Holcombe on her BBC Introducing Rock show. In the Summer of 2022 Ephemera made their first trip down to London to play at the renowned Black Heart venue in Camden, as the guests of THROWN INTO EXILE. Moving into 2023 support slots with critically acclaimed artists like PUPIL SLICER, WATERLINES and HOUNDS followed and then a triumphant hometown headline show at the Nightrain in Bradford, topping the bill of SHADOWFEST, an event staged to raise funds for the S.O.P.H.I.E. charity.
There has been no let up in 2024, with sold out headline shows being interspersed with prestigious support slots with CULTURA TRES, RITUALS, BITTERWOOD, KILL THE LIGHTS and MASTER THE CROWN. As well as this the band were invited to perform at the MIRRORMAN FESTIVAL, where they shared the bill with SISTERLY, SADAXE, OCCUPANTS and many other up and coming bands and played their first shows north of the border in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
This year has finished with two big announcements for Ephemera as they have signed with label MORNING STAR HERESY MUSIC GROUP for the release of their new EP and joined the management roster of IMPERATIVE PR. With an incredible new release coming in early 2025, expect next year to be the busiest and most successful yet for Ephemera!
