Formicarius to appear on Speed Kills 7:

November 02, 2016

Music For Nations have announced the relaunch of the historic Speed Kills compilation series and Formicarius are set to be part of it. In the 80s the Speed Kills albums shone a spotlight into the darkness of the underground metal scene, illuminating the fierce talents of Metallica, Slayer, Celtic Frost, Anthrax, Bathory and a host of other now legendary names. With the latest instalment, Speed Kills VII [available on vinyl and as a digital download], Music For Nations (now part of the Sony Music family) have chosen to offer a platform to the finest bands that the current British metal scene has to offer and once they heard the wickedly inventive sounds of Formicarius an offer was immediately forthcoming.

Speaking of their appearance on this prestigious release, Formicarius imposing front man, Lord Saunders had this to say: "We're overwhelmed to be a part of the Speed Kills legacy! Looking at the calibre of bands featured in the series...and now to be a part of such a collection...its a tremendous honour for us!"

Also appearing alongside Formicarius will be the likes of Akercocke, Voices, The King Is Blind and one band who also graced an earlier Speed Kills release, thrashers Acid Reign.

The rise of Formicarius continues their assault on the throne of black metal is unstoppable and relentless!
