Forged In Black and Spectral Darkwave Head To Bloodstock
July 05, 2021
As Britain’s best all metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air, returns from lockdown we are proud to announce that two of our management roster will be appearing at the event. This year Bloodstock, which takes place from Wednesday August 11th to Sunday August 15th, is headlined by JUDAS PRIEST, KREATOR and DEVIN TOWNSEND and features its customary array of magnificent bands as part of the supporting cast, including CRADLE OF FILTH, SAXON and DIAMOND HEAD; and you add to that list of illustrious names, FORGED IN BLACK and SPECTRAL DARKWAVE!
FORGED IN BLACK played a superb set at Bloodstock 2019, where they rocked the Serpent’s Lair stage in the VIP area and they have been invited back to that same stage to play not one, but two different sets this year. On the Saturday Forged In Black will perform a special acoustic set, which they have only done once before, at Hammerfest X – the results being released on the EP Unplugged At Hammerfest X (Live Official Bootleg). Then on Sunday the band will prepare all the VIP guests for the return of Judas Priest with a full on set of metallic fury, British steel and glorious drama.
Forged In Black will be back in the studio later this year with premiere producer Romesh Dodangoda crafting the follow up to their magnificent 2019 album, Descent Of The Serpent.
SPECTRAL DARKWAVE, who only joined the Imperative roster earlier this year, have been crowd favourites at the Metal 2 The Masses events held at Club 85 in Hitchin in recent years. However, this year, the time travelling purveyors of cosmic doom and world shattering death have been invited to perform on the Jaegermeister stage on Sunday 15th. They will be performing tracks from their forthcoming second album, including single ‘A Toll Is Due’. Fans who brave the front row for Spectral Darkwave’s cataclysmic Bloodstock debut can expect an unforgettable show – and maybe a very special free gift or two!
Look for the staggering new album from Spectral Darkwave this autumn which promises to be a game changer for this enigmatic band.
In previous years other Imperative bands like SOLITARY, BODY HARVEST and DE PROFUNDIS have also performed at Bloodstock Open Air.
