Solitary prepare to release XXV: Live At Bloodstock

On Sunday 11th August 2019 Solitary celebrated their 25th anniversary of thrash metal dedication with their debut appearance at the Bloodstock Open Air festival. In front of a loud and passionate assembly of fans they tore through some of the highlights from their storied career, a visceral, high velocity performance that captured the essence of everything Solitary have stood for since they started their journey back in 1994. The sights and sounds of that historic day were all captured for posterity and now we are finally able to present the stunning CD+DVD package that is Solitary – XXV: Live At Bloodstock! There was a celebratory magic in the air during the incredible intensity of Solitary’s set at Bloodstock, a real sense that everything the band had endured over the preceding years, every obstacle overcome, every brick wall punched through with bloody knuckles was being crystallised in one perfect moment of defiance. That magic is here on XXV: Live At Bloodstock, in the rampaging riffs of ‘Keep Your Enemies Closer’, in the breakneck fury of ‘Unidentified’ and the staggering ‘Architects Of Shame’. This is one of those rare live albums that transports the listener straight into the pit! The show was mixed and mastered by Martin Buchwalter (Accuser, Destruction, Tankard etc), keeping the integrity of the performance and making sure everything is delivered with the maximum power – all needles firmly in the red! As well as the complete live show on CD and DVD the XXV: Live At Bloodstock package comes with a deluxe booklet and a host of extras. The CD features three studio tracks from the limited edition XXV EP which have been remixed by Mike Bew (Cancer etc) and remastered by Martin Buchwalter and the DVD comes complete with a pre-show interview with Solitary’s front man and founder Rich Sherrington and all eight of the band’s promo videos.
