It’s been six years since Italy’s most violent sons, Corpsefucking Art, tore through the death metal scene with the frenzied attack of Splatterphobia, their fifth full length studio album. The world has been a quieter, safer, saner place without them it’s true – but that was never going to last forever. The maniacs are back and they’ve brought with them a whole world of madness. Prepare for gargantuan killer tomatoes, infected squid, alien invasions and the blurring of the lines between horrifying fantasy and terror filled reality…Tomatized is here! Armed with some of the deadliest riffs ever concocted Corpsefucking Art have delivered the perfect blend of classic, hook-laden death metal and utter lunacy. Tomatized opens fire with its title track, flinging open a doorway to an alternate universe of vegetable domination and the mutation and consumption of mankind. But as crazed as the lyrical concepts are, each line of ‘disturbing ripening berries’ is matched by absolutely masterful music. From the dirty rumbling bass of ‘Blood Kitchen Garden’ to the choking sludge and crawling horror of ‘The Book Of The Dead’, the supreme riffs of ‘Dead Sushi’ – where the creatures of the sea enter into this demented nightmare scenario – to the shocking, twisted conclusion of ‘Escape From Alpha City’, this is Corpsefucking Art at their very, very best. Hell, this is death metal at its barbaric, brutal best. The sound of Tomatized, captured by the engineering and mixing of Alessio Cattaneo (Hideous Divinity, Satanika etc) and the mastering of Stefano Morabito (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance, Vomit The Soul etc) is pernicious perfection; the alignment of Corpsefucking Art’s greatest set of songs with this ball crushing production just magnificent.
