Funeral Vomit prepare to release Upheaval Of Necromancy

Erupting from the Colombian underground extreme music scene at the height of the global pandemic, Funeral Vomit have set about releasing their barrage of sonic violence with a frenetic fervour. Having released their Necrophoric Infestation demo in 2020, the band followed up quickly with two split releases in 2021 – Chants Of Morbid Excruciation with Heretic Ritual and Necrophoric Decomposition with Mvltifission. The self titled Funeral Vomit EP appeared in 2022, before a new alliance with Xtreem Music was forged in 2023. With Xtreem Music behind them Funeral Vomit first released their debut album, Monumental Putrescence and then released an expanded version of the Funeral Vomit EP, with bonus tracks. And this Colombian juggernaut of destruction shows no signs of slowing down, as they are about to unleash their second album – the blood freezing horror of Upheaval Of Necromancy!

From the unnerving beginning of ‘Intro (The Disentombment)’ to the haunting conclusion of ‘Outro (Effluvia Of The Mass Grave)’, Upheaval Of Necromancy is a nightmarish trip through the blackest caverns of death metal. Twisted creations like ‘Sulphuric Regurgitation’ were birthed in the sordid spawning pits of death metal’s unholy inception – insane wailing guitar leads over brutish battery, drum beats like the breaking of brittle bones. ‘Winds Of Exhumation’ tears at the skin, shifting between methodical dismemberment and a frenzy of rapacious slaughter. ‘Atlas Of Doom’ reveals itself in massive, irresistible surging riffs that explode into wild, primal savagery. This album channels the sound of something monstrous, sealed away from the world for countless centuries, finally released in a torrent of violent vengeance. A beast from the furthest reaches of death metal, from the desolate badlands of extreme music, in Upheaval Of Necromancy Funeral Vomit have invoked a barbaric force beyond imagination.
