Dichotomy Prepare To Release Lucifer Owns The Fence

Jordan Varela has been a notable presence on the extreme music scene for thirty years now, making his name with bands like Carcinogenic, Cesspool Of Vermin, the legendary Lividity and Lust Of Decay, who recently released their bulldozing Entombed In Sewage album. Although predominately known for his astounding skills behind the kit, Varela is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist as he has demonstrated with the likes of In-Conquered and Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement. Now he is poised to release the debut album from his new solo project, Dichotomy; a bruising nine track attack of incendiary death metal entitled Lucifer Owns The Fence.

The album bursts into life with the explosive first single, 'He Is…', a hurricane force track spearheaded by a savage vocal performance and wickedly intricate riffs. Then before you've had time to breathe Varela catapults you into 'The Antithesis' on the back of a cataclysmic drum inferno and there is absolutely no let up in the teeth grinding intensity as the album charges onwards. From the staggered rhythm patterns and superb riffing of 'The Fence', through the classic death metal stylings of 'The Perseverance' to the devastating conclusion of 'Satan Will Kill You', Varela is operating at the peak of his considerable powers. Lucifer Owns The Fence is simply decimating, enforcing a scorched earth policy of sonic violence to the last breath. The array of weaponized riffs employed is staggering, the imperious vocal performance intimidating in its ferocity and the drumming verges on insanity. This furious battering ram of an album is just the beginning for Dichotomy, yet already Varela is hitting new heights of accomplishment and unwavering focus.
